About the Author
Dr. Sayed Ammar Nakshawani is regarded as one of the most powerful speakers in the Muslim world. He was born in 1981 and graduated from the University College, London, as well as the London School of Economics. He was then awarded with an MA in Islamic Studies from Shahid Beheshti University in Iran. Dr. Nakshawani completed his PhD thesis at the University of Exeter. He has lectured at the university in Classical Islamic History and then pursued further studies at the Islamic Seminary in Damascus, Syria. Currently he is a visiting scholar at the Centre of Islamic Studies, University of Cambridge. He has written three other English language books - Ramadan Sermons, The Fourteen Infallibles and Hujr b Adi: A Victim of Terror. His fourth book, in the French language, was released in August 2013 with a Foreword by Prof Tariq Ramadan on Islam and France today.

This is an excellent work by the renowned scholar. I have recently become familiar with his lectures through a colleague and have found that his work resurfaces concepts I had been taught since childhood and present them in a different context—ones that I had previously not thought of.The discourse is especially enlightening in that Dr. Sayed Ammar takes a well known ahadith (narration of the Prophet) and presents it in a different light--he contests the popular opinion of many that twelver "imami" muslims reject the companions of the Prophet and shows that they in fact hold them in very high regard, to the likes of Abu Dhar, Bilal al-Habashi, Salman al-Muhammadi and a few others.Not to mention, the book is a very easy read and can be absorbed by multiple age groups, non-Muslims and Muslims alike for a very interesting perspective previously unheard of. With “The Ten Granted Paradiseâ€, Dr. Sayed Ammar has once again displayed that he is indeed one of the most prominent thinkers of the Muslim world in the 21st century.
I have been listening to Dr. Nakshwani for a while now, and I was really impressed by his emphasis on history. I must say that this book can seem a little hostile to our brothers and sisters in ahl-e-sunnah, However, all accounts are verifiable. Muslims suffer today because we are not aware of the true facts of history and this book can serve as a stepping stone in our quest for the truth.
Love this book. Great easy read. Many stories I haven't heard and the ones I have, are reiterated. Looking forward to having my son read this.
